Silent Sunday – May 15, 2016

It’s been a very busy week for me, traveling to and from San Francisco, but I did manage to take this photograph along the waterfront. I wish you a relaxing and enjoyable Sunday, wherever your travels take you, near or far.

    1. You too! Our meeting was the highlight of my trip!

I took the photo shortly after we parted ways – you can’t waste a sunny day in SF, so I walked to the Ferry building for lunch, along the waterfront. They were having a Spartan Race at AT&T Park, so I was also treated to men and women rolling boulders, throwing spears, and scaling walls! Never a dull moment by the Bay!

    1. You are so welcome! The weather during my visit was really nice, with sunshine and light breezes. October is a good time to go – the weather should be warm, but not too warm. Please let me know if you would like any recommendations for your trip! If you are staying near Fisherman’s Wharf and the waterfront, it is a short walk to City Light’s Bookstore which is the place many of the Beat Poets got their start.

    1. Thank you, Sheldon! This scene in B&W was so much more vivid (I did try a shot in color too) – it captured the texture of the clouds and the stone so much better!

I hope you are hanging in there – I’m thinking of you and sending you positive energy for the week ahead.

      1. I’m enjoying your travel photos! I’ve been to NYC a few times, but I admit to only leaving Manhattan once – your photos of the other boroughs remind me to branch out next time!
