Silent Sunday – January 24, 2016

A friend and I visited the Harvard Art Museum awhile back and couldn’t help clowning around under Rebecca Horn’s fabulous “Flying Books Under Black Rain” kinetic painting (you can see photographs of the actual sculpture/kinetic painting here). Photographs by me. Have a beautiful Sunday!

    1. I definitely think so – the ink is spraying down on these “fluttering” books, but at first glance it appears to be spraying everywhere! As scientists by day, artists by night, we had to see if we could become part of the art – my friend and I ran down to where the shower of ink appeared to be raining and waited eagerly (the machine is set to go off randomly). We had a good laugh when we realized that it was carefully angled to only spray the wall and the books and never the patrons!
