I wrote these poems to commemorate the at-long-last arrival of spring. Residing for the first time in my life in a place that has all four distinctive seasons, I have found myself fascinated by all the signs of their changing – both conventional and not.     1. Thank you! Yep – a whole bagel! The squirrel was having real difficulty with the giant doughy ring that was larger and taller than it was – but it was bounding down the power line with all its might, flush with this spring bounty!
