In honor of the Christmas holiday today, I’m taking a brief break from the serial illustration of “Moriturus” (it will be back next week!). This excerpt is from Anna Temple’s “The Kneeling Camel” – you can find the whole poem here. Despite this poem being included in multiple poetry anthologies, I could find almost no biographical information on the poet herself. The poem appears to have been written in the 1920’s. Drawing (colored pencil on toned paper) and composition by me.
