Excerpt Tuesday – I Saw Eternity – Bogan

Louise Bogan has been hailed as one of the most accomplished woman poets of the twentieth century. Today’s excerpt is from her poem “I Saw Eternity” – you can read the whole poem here and the full text of her Collected Poems 1923 – 1953 is available for free here. Drawing (ink on paper) and composition by me. The drawings were inspired by the bacteria that I work with and watch in the microscope. Have a good day! Tuesdays: usually better than Mondays.

    1. Thank you! I’ve always loved the poem, but knew little about Louise Bogan herself – when I began to research her a little, there was so much interesting information I was amazed! I hope to feature more of her poetry and talk more about her work and life in another post soon.
