Excerpt Tuesday – the greedy the people – Cummings

thegreedythepeople_hall

Today’s excerpt is from “the greedy the people” by E. E. Cummings – a classic that you can read the entirety of here. I recently learned the Mr. Cummings was a Boston native and, although he spent the last few years of his life on his farm in New Hampshire, is buried here as well. The drawing (pencil on paper) is by Mr. Matthew Hall of the always informative and fun-to-read Screaming with Brevity blog/website. Check out his poetry too – I’ve illustrated and featured it here before. May you have a good Tuesday – they are almost always better than Mondays!
