Illustrated Thursday – Wind and Silver – and the Charles Poetry Tree

Autumnleaves_CtreepoemI went a new route on a run the other day and stumbled across the Poetry Tree on the Charles – as the name suggests, it is a tree on the Charles River where people are posting seasonal poems. You can submit poems to be including in their seasonal selection and the poems are physically posted on the tree.  I decided to illustrate and post an autumn poem here in solidarity. “Wind and Silver” is a haiku-like poem by Amy Lowell with gorgeous traditional imagery – and a big autumn moon. Enjoy! A couple of pictures of the Charles Poetry Tree are below. Photographs and composition by me.
