Double Original Friday – Wordless Haiku Challenge!

Ronovan runs two English-language haiku challenges a week (he must love haiku!) – one “standard” haiku of words and one wordless haiku. I participated in the haiku-of-words one a few weeks ago (see my offering of a haiku using the words “snail” and “turtle” here) and now I’m trying my hand at the wordless haiku. The challenge this week was to use “skin” and “heat.” All photographs by me, with the exception of the chrysalis, which came from the wiki commons and is by Ianaré Sévi . If you want to see the haiku, click on the “read more” or on the post. Happy Friday! Thanks, Ronovan!

Leaves ripen and fall.
Inside the chrysalis skin,
the heat of summer.
