Old Poem Saturday – Haiku by Fletcher

MidSummerDusk copy

Today’s poem is a haiku by John Gould Fletcher (1886-1950) entitled “Mid-Summer Dusk.” I’ve had haiku on the brain lately -I think because I’ve been reading the excellent book “Haiku in English: The First Hundred Years” by Kacian, Rowland, and Burns. Illustration (ink on paper) and composition by me. Have a lovely weekend!
